Ellington Historical Society Fun Filled Winterfest Planned

The Ellington Historical Society has a fun filled schedule for December beginning with Winter Fest on Saturday December 4th from 9am-7:30pm. Located at the Nellie McKnight Museum Quad, 70 Main St., Winterfest schedule includes:

All Day

*Shop the Holiday Marketplace, Nellie’s Mercantile and the Vintage Wares Barn filled with holiday décor, local artisan finds specialty collections and seasonal bargains.

*Tour the 1812 house museum, decorated for the holidays.

*Enjoy lunch or dinner from Smoke n’ Fire Spanish American BBQ Truck.

*Fill the antique sleigh with unwrapped toys for the Cornerstone Foundation.

*Fill the shed at Kloter Farms with non-perishable food items.

*Purchase Hometown Raffle tickets to win one of 12 distinctive prizes.

3:00pm-7:30pm

*Visit the Jingle and Mingle hospitality tents with refreshments for both adults and children

*Enjoy live piano music in the house museum

*Fellowship with others around the bonfires

*Enjoy live caroling by high school students

8:00 pm

* Winners of the Hometown Raffle announced

The holiday marketplace will also be open Saturdays December 11 and 18 and Sunday December 19 from 10am-2pm. Shopping may also be scheduled by appointment by emailing ellingtonhistoricalsociety@gmail.com. Proceeds from the sales go towards the continued maintenance and improvements to the Nellie McKnight Museum Property. The 1812 house museum, decorated for the holiday, will be open for touring on all dates.
