Ellington Honda Owners Beware: Authorities Issue Warning About Wheel Thieves
Thieves are taking rims off cars, authorities said.

ELLINGTON, CT — The town of Ellington, Ellington police and the Ellington Resident State Trooper's office are warning residents of a recent crime spree that is spreading through north central Connecticut.
Thieves are taking rims off cars.
"In what appears to be a coordinated and organized effort, individuals are targeting newer model Honda vehicles by stealing rims, causing significant damage and loss, often during overnight hours, authorities said.

Residents are being strongly encouraged to take the following precautions:
- Park vehicles in well-lit areas whenever possible
- Utilize garages if available
- Consider installing motion-activated lighting or surveillance cameras
"Report any suspicious activity immediately," authorities said. "If you observe anything unusual or have information related to these incidents, please contact the Ellington Resident Trooper’s Office. Stay alert and help keep our community safe."
