Ellington Human Services Seeking Donations At Two November Events

Support the food drive to stock the Ellington Human Services Food Pantry and a professional attire Clothing Drive to support Veterans

Ellington Human Services will be sponsoring two events in November, a special hours Food Drive to stock the food pantry for the winter months and a Save a Suit drive to benefit Veterans re-entering the job market.

Food Drive

The Ellington Human Services special hours food drive will take place on November 5th from 9 am-noon at 31 Arbor Way. Many non-perishable food items are needed to fill the pantry.

Human Services also accepts food donations during regular hours Mondays 8:00 am-6:30 pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. In addition, items can be dropped off in Grandma's Pantry, located in front of Human Service at 31 Arbor Way at any time.

Save a Suit Clothing Drive

Donations of gently used professional attire are being accepted through the month of November at the following locations:

Ellington Human Services
Hall Memorial Library
Ellington Senior Center

All donations of gently used professional attire will go to the Save a Suit Organization to help veterans achieve job security.
The following business attire items will be accepted:

Pants/slacks/skirts
Dress shirts/blouses
Professional footwear
Jackets and Blazers
Ties
