Ellington Man Charged with DUI, Accused of Driving 4 Times Over Legal Limit in South Windsor
The man was arrested on a warrant for a January incident in which his vehicle went off the road and crashed into several things.
South Windsor police have charged an Ellington man with allegedly driving with a blood alcohol level four times over the legal limit when his vehicle went off the road and struck a street sign, utility pole and a tree in January.
Robert King, 55, of 12 Rothe Lane in Ellington, was arrested Thursday on a warrant.
Police said King’s charges stem from a Jan. 14 motor vehicle accident on Ellington Road (RT 74) near the Ellington town line. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a road sign, utility pole and a tree. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of his injuries, according to police.
