Ellington Man Charged With Violent Acts in Vernon: Cops
An Ellington man was charged for a Friday morning incident, police said.

VERNON, CT — A dispute among siblings early Friday morning in the Rockville section of Vernon turned violent and an Ellington man is facing a serious assault charge as a result, police said.
Michael Layaw, 30, of 3 Walnut St., Ellington, wound up being charged with second-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and second-degree assault, police said.
The fight broke out at 1:13 a.m. at 107 High St., police said.

He was held overnight on a $20,000 bond and was to appear in court on Friday, police said.
