Ellington Man Faces Larceny Charges in South Windsor

An Ellington man faces larceny charges after being arrested by South Windsor police in connection with a January incident.

Brett Fischer, 32, of 25 Glenwood Road in Ellington, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny, and fourth-degree larceny. He was held at court on a $2,500 surety bond.

According to a police press release, Fischer’s charges stem from a January 2014 case in which he purchased welding equipment and billed it to his former employer. He then pawned the equipment. Investigators located the pawned equipment and obtained a confession from Fischer.
