Ellington Man in the Lockup on Bonds Totaling $250K for 7 Cases
He surrendered on Wednesday, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A man with a listed address in Ellington and a former Vernon address is in custody on bonds totaling $250,000 after repeatedly skipping court dates on seven active cases, state police said.
Wayne Hardy, 35, also known as Wayne Dion-Edwards, currently lives on Cliff Street in Ellington but some of his cases date back to last year when he lived on Laurel Street in the Rockville section of Vernon, according to a set of arrest warrants.
He surrendered in East Hartford on Wednesday, quickly appeared in court, and is due back before a judge on Oct. 10, according to judicial system records.

The most serious of his cases dates back to Wednesday, when he surrendered on charges that he took a vehicle without permission, according to a warrant.
His seven cases include reckless driving, disobeying an officer and assorted other motor vehicle violations.

He is also accused of violating probation and a protective order judicial system records indicate.
