Ellington Murder Suspect Removed as Late Wife's Estate Executor: Report

A probate judge made a ruling this week.

ELLINGTON, CT — The Ellington man accused of murdering his wife has been removed as the executor of her estate, the Hartford Courant reported.

Richard Dabate, 40, is currently out on a $1 million bond while facing charges that include murder, evidence tampering and making false statements in the shooting Death of his late wife, Connie. He is due back in criminal court on April 28.

In addition to removing him as executor, Probate Judge O. James Purnell this week appointed a guardian to represent the couple's sons Richard, 10, and Connor, 8, in court, according to the Courant story.
