Ellington Obituary: Carol McNamara-Gardner, 60

Carol J. McNamara-Gardner, 60, of Haines City, Florida, and formerly of Ellington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Born in Manchester, the daughter of Bethamy “Betty” (Bancroft) McNamara Heim of Vernon and the late Robert McNamara, she grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to Haines City, FL, where she lived for over twenty-four years, returning to Connecticut in 2016. She attended Ellington schools.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children, Marnell McWaters and her husband Wesley, Jonathan Gardner, and Emilee Stephens, all of Florida; her grandson, Timothy Schilling; her brother, Robert McNamara and his wife Pamela of Coventry; her sister, Sheryl Bell and her husband Dennis of Ashford, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main Street, Ellington. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
