Ellington Obituary: Christopher Gentile, 26

Condolences to his family and friends.

Christopher Michael Henry Gentile, 26, of Ellington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 8, 2016.

Born in Guatemala, son of Frank and Lori (Botteron) Gentile, he lived the majority of his life in Ellington, graduated from Ellington High School and was a member of St. Luke's Church in Ellington. Christopher's caring nature helped him to truly enjoy his work as a patient care assistant at Hartford Hospital and in his spare time he enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking, touring vineyards and wineries and driving his beloved Jeep Wrangler, but his true passion was spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his fun, outgoing spirit and sense of humor that could brighten the darkest days. A loving son, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents Frank and Lori of Ellington, he is survived by his sister Jennifer Gentile of Ellington; his grandparents Victor and Joan Botteron of South Windsor; his uncles Vito Gentile and his wife Veronica, Joseph Gentile and his wife Angela, James Gentile and his wife Paula, Louis Gentile and his wife Sharon, Michael Gentile and his wife Radica and Victor Botteron, Jr.; his aunts Maria Shemansky and her husband William, and Lisa Palmquist and her husband Daniel; and several loving cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Michael and Rosa Gentile.
