
Jeffrey H. Dickman, of Ellington, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Sunday, November 22, 2015, shortly after celebrating his 54th birthday with family and friends.
Born in New Britain on November 21, 1961, he was one of two sons to the late Herbert and Marjorie (Bertz) Dickman. Raised in Plainville, he was a 1979 graduate of Plainville High School and went on to attend Central Connecticut State University, majoring in business. He was currently employed at Electrical Wholesalers, in product sales.
Jeff married the love of his life, Melissa (Vestal) in 1993 and made their home in Ellington, where they enjoyed hosting family and friends on the deck, poolside or for their notorious Friday Wing Night. Known for his love for music, Jeff was a talented guitarist, who also enjoyed travelling the world, going to the beach, attending concerts or cheering on the NY Giants, all with his adored wife by his side. Jeff had an infectious love for life, living each day to the fullest and spreading cheerfulness wherever he went. The glue that held his family together, Jeff truly left this world a better place in the short time he was here, and will be profoundly missed, leaving many cherished memories.

In addition to his wife, Melissa, he leaves his sister-in-law, Marianne Enes; his father-in-law, Billy Vestal; and many cousins, including his dear cousin and best friend, Darlene Vereneau. He also leaves his brothers and sisters in law, Nathan and Cheryl Vestal, Kristine and Jamie Galasyn, and Jennifer and Barry Moore; his Goddaughter, Becky Lorch; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close friends, including his lifelong buddy, Dave Loiselle. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark. Predeceased by his four legged friend, ”Blackie”, he will also be missed by his dog “Cinder”.
A memorial service in celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St. Plainville. Family and friends may gather before the service, from 9-11 a.m.at the funeral home.
