Ellington Obituary: Jordyn Engler, 14

Condolences to her family and friends.

Jordyn Marie Engler, 14, born July 13, 2001, of Ellington, beloved daughter of Jeffrey Engler and Tanya (Parmelee) Engler, died tragically on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Shandaken, New York.

Jordyn was a freshman at Ellington High School. She had a great love for the arts including dancing, singing, and acting, and Jordyn lit up the stage in the many performances she was a part of throughout the years. She was a team member of Fierce All Stars Cheerleading where she traveled to several competitions throughout the Northeast, and the girls she cheered with became family to her. Jordyn also loved animals, photography, traveling, and shopping with her grandmother. Jordyn’s spunk and energy was contagious; her constant smile and vibrant disposition will be missed by so many.

Jordyn is survived by her mother Tanya (Parmelee) Engler; her father Jeffrey Engler and Kat Backus; her brother Shane Engler; her grandparents Suzanne and John Engler-Manello, and Jacqueline and Russell Parmelee; her aunt and uncle, Terri and Chris Billings and their children Abby and Hunter; her Aunt Staci Engler-Green and her children Samantha and Joshua Green; a countless number of friends; and her beloved pets Maya, Little Kittie, and Chewie.
