
Joyce King Hany, 78, of Stafford Springs, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on April 20, 2016. After a long courageous battle with leukemia, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Joyce was born July 24, 1937, in Hartford. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Sherlock) King of Manchester. Joyce had lived in Ellington for many years before moving to Stafford Springs. Joyce loved the Lord and her family. She had a strong faith in God and passed that belief on to her children and grandchildren.
Joyce was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Tolland. She enjoyed gardening and feeding the blue birds. She loved her cat Nicky and all animals. She had made a home for many stray cats over the years. She was the beloved wife of Norman Hany.

She leaves her cherished children; Mark and his wife Patricia (Young) Hany of Coventry, Susan and her husband Jay Burns of Tolland, Dana and her husband Richard Scott of Stafford Springs. She leaves six beautiful grandchildren; Ellen, Amy, Carrie, Christopher, Hillary and Curtis. She also leaves four great grandchildren; Ava, Emma, Justus and Jase. She leaves a sister, Nancy Kleinschmidt and her husband William of Durham, as well as several wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Her family would like to thank her Pastor, David Lemoine and church family for all their prayers, Dr. Jeffrey Kamradt and his staff as well as the ECHN Visiting Nurses.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Tolland, 75 Cider Mill Road, Tolland. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, April 25, 5 to 8 pm at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tolland, P.O. Box 184, Tolland, CT 06084.
