
Nellie (McConnell) Kozlowski, 93, of Ellington, beloved wife of the late Eugene Kozlowski passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
She was born September 23, 1923 in Scotland, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Clements) McConnell. She retired from Stanadyne where she was active in the Girls Club organizing field trips; she volunteered for hospice through the VNA from 1983 – 2012 and at Rockville General Hospital for 29 years 12,716 hours. Her volunteer work gave her retirement meaning and purpose.
She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Veronesi of Killingly and Margaret Brinkley of Putnam; her sisters-in-law, Ann Kozlowski and Jane McConnell; and her dear friends, Mary Jane Hill, Joyce Gottier, Dorothy Nelson and Pauline Neale. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Cecilia Krzeminski.

Relatives and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, April, 1, 2017 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 8 Keynote Dr. Vernon, CT 06066.
