Susan E (Morey) Fontanella, 66, of Ellington, beloved wife of 48 years to Donald Fontanella, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Hartford Hospital.
She was born in Dexter, Maine to the late Earle and Mary (Burrill) Morey on February 1, 1950. Susan grew up in Tolland and would marry the love of her life, Donald, shortly after high school. Susan worked as an office manager in the automotive industry for many years and also was a Notary and Justice of the Peace, marrying many family members, friends and acquaintances. She enjoyed antiquing, decorating her homes and others, she never met a casino she didn't like and enjoyed trips with close friends to Sanibel Island, the Cape and our summer family trips to Maine.
Her True Passion was spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Her family was very important to her and Christmas was always a special time with an all night gathering where everyone was welcomed with open arms. Susan loved dancing, people would often stop and watch as her and her husband moved together in perfect harmony. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ellington where she served on Council, sang in the choir and was part of Social Ministry.
