Ellington Obituary: Thomas Egan, 71

Thomas R. Egan, “Tommy”, 71 of Ellington, died October 14, 2015.

Born in Rockville October 18, 1943, Tom was a Scholar Athlete at Ellington High School, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1965, worked for Westing House Electric, served his country in the Army and then worked for the U. S. Government as an Electrical Engineer. He enjoyed computers, cats and sports.

He leaves nine nieces and nephews: Amy Zuckerman of Scottsdale AZ, Andrea Clifford of Manchester, Cherie Katz of Phoenix AZ, Gary Clifford of Ellington, Jill Stolinas of Windsor, Lynne Gunn of Ashford, Michael Clifford of Ellington, Nancy Bestwick of Mystic and Tami Clifford of Manchester. Tom also leaves nine great nieces and nephews and three great, great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on at 10 am on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Church, Rockville with burial to follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
