Ellington Obituary: Warren Ball, 76

Condolences to his family and friends.

Warren C. Ball, 76, of Westborough, MA and formerly of Manchester, loving husband of over 52 years to the late Judith “Judy” (Rugg) Ball (July 2014), passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015 with his family.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of the late Martin and Anna (Brauchler) Ball, he grew up Pittsfield, MA. Warren lived most of his life in Ellington. He lived in Manchester for five years before moving to Westborough last year. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Class of 1961and he earned his MBA at Western New England University. He was a former member of the Ellington Jay Cees. Warren loved golfing, tennis, skiing, music and family trips to Maine.

Prior to his retirement in 1994, Warren was an electrical engineer at United Technologies for over 33 years. He was a member of the Ellington Congregational Church and he sang in the church choir for over 30 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Kristin and Kevin Casey of Brookline, MA, and Tracey and Jeff Tanzola of San Diego, CA; his four grandchildren, whom he adored, Paige and Mairathe Casey, Tom Godek and Zoe Tanzola; his brother, James Ball and his wife Joan of Houston, TX, and many nieces and dear friends.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main Street, Ellington. Burial was private.
