Ellington Seeks Participants for America 250 Celebration
Community Groups, Artisans, Vendors, and Parade Participants Wanted
The Ellington 250 Committee is inviting community groups, organizations, artisans, vendors, food vendors, and parade participants to be part of a town-wide celebration commemorating 250 years of America on Saturday, October 3, on the Ellington Green.
The afternoon celebration will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring a festive parade along Main Street beginning at 2:00 p.m. Organizers hope to create an engaging and educational event that highlights the people, traditions, and skills that shaped early America.
Participants are being sought to present history-inspired demonstrations and displays, including traditional crafts, artisan skills, and vintage exhibits. Local organizations and community groups are also encouraged to showcase aspects of early American life, agriculture, and community traditions through interactive displays and demonstrations.
