Ellington Seeks School Supplies For School Children

ELLINGTON, CT — Ellington Human Services is collecting school supplies and gift cards to help local families with back-to-school shopping.

The town’s Back to School Support Program is seeking donations of backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, pencils, pencil cases, markers, notebooks, erasers, tape, hand sanitizer, colored pencils, glue sticks and headphones for children and teens.

Officials are also looking for gift cards to Walmart, Staples, Kohl’s and Target, with $25 increments preferred. The department said gift cards will allow families to buy the specific items their children need.
