Ellington-Somers Coronavirus Update: 4 More Cases Confirmed
Over the weekend, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached nine each in Ellington and Somers, according to state health officials.
ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — The start of the first full week of April saw the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut approach 7,000 Monday, while the total in Ellington and Somers jumped to nine apiece. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus is up to 206, with 1,221 hospitalizations. Just under 27,000 people have undergone testing for the virus thus far, according to state health officials.
Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 3,719, or 53.9 percent of the state's total. Ellington and Somers are both located in Tolland County, which has confirmed 103 cases with 13 deaths.
