Everyone knows by now that a potentially historic blizzard is set to hit Ellington and Somers later today, and we’ll let you know hour-by-hour when the worst part of the storm is expected to hit, and when the snow begins.

You should see snow outside your window now, and it should continue as light snow until about 9 p.m. when it turns to steady snow through midnight.

But at 1 a.m. the blizzard conditions begin in Ellington and Somers as winds will be around 25 miles per hour.

Blizzard conditions are expected to continue through about 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday.

At 5 p.m. it is expected to turn to snow showers as the winds diminish slightly.

The snow showers, with less wind, are expected to continue all the way until 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
