Ellington/Somers Obituary: Edward Gibson, 63

Edward “Ted” Hale Gibson, of Ellington, entered into eternal rest on Sunday Oct. 15, 2017.

He was born on December 21, 1953 in Vernon-Rockville to Janina (Michaelska) Gibson of Somers and the late Richard Gibson, and had resided in Ellington for several years. Ted was a graduate of Somers High School. He was a self-employed handyman/contractor in the area. In his leisure time Ted enjoyed gardening, photography, dancing, flying, had an interest in art and was a race car mechanic.

In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by his children; Adam Gibson & wife Sherri of Castleton, NY, Kyle Gibson & wife Joanna of Philadelphia, PA, Nathan Gibson & wife Christine of Ithaca, NY and Molly Gibson of Enfield, his five beloved grandchildren; Tyler, Alexis & Brady Gibson and Luken & Alaia Gibson. He is also survived by two brothers; Robert Gibson of Wallingford and Richard Gibson of Arvada, CO, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
