What’s Open, What’s Closed In Ellington, Somers This Presidents’ Day
Town offices and Somers' Recycling Center will be closed Monday, but there is no delay in curbside collection.
ELLINGTON/SOMERS, CT — Municipal offices in both Ellington and Somers will be closed Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents’ Day, though trash and recycling pickup will continue on a normal schedule in each town.
In Somers, USA Waste & Recycling will collect trash and recycling without delay during the holiday week. Residents are advised to place bins curbside on their regular service day. The town’s Recycling Center, however, will be closed on the holiday.
Ellington officials have also announced that all town offices will be closed on Monday for Presidents’ Day. There is no change to the regular trash and recycling collection schedule in Ellington during the holiday week.
