Ellington Welcomes Familiar Face Back To Town Hall

Town officials said a new employee joined the town as its new human resources director.

ELLINGTON, CT — Ellington officials have announced a new addition to the town’s leadership team.

First Selectman Laurie Burstein and Town Administrator Matthew Reed said Lori Caron has joined the town as its new human resources director. Officials said Caron brings public-sector experience in employee relations, recruitment, compliance and benefits administration.

According to the town, Caron has also worked on onboarding, training programs, employee engagement and workplace wellness efforts. Officials said her leadership and collaborative approach will support town employees and help strengthen service to residents and visitors.

“We are happy to welcome Lori as the new HR Director in her hometown,” Burstein said in a statement. “We are excited to have her join the team and look forward to working together.”

Caron said she is proud to serve the community she calls home. She said she looks forward to supporting town employees and helping build a strong workplace culture.

“We are pleased to welcome Lori back to Ellington,” Reed said in a statement. “This really is home for her, and we are just as excited as she is.”
