Ellington Winterfest Features Many Activities, Food And Fun For All

Torchlight Parade, ornament workshops, food trucks, gingerbread contest, musical programs, Cafe, farmers market, kids activities and more.

The Ellington Winterfest will be spreading joy once again this holiday season beginning Friday, December 2 through Saturday, December 3rd with many activities at various locations planned.

Organizations participating include: Hall Memorial Library, Ellington Historical Society, Ellington Congregational Church, Ellington Women's Club, Ellington Farmers' Market, and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

From shopping for local and fresh items at the Ellington Farmers' Market and holiday gifts at the Nellie McKnight shops to musical programs, a gingerbread house contest, bonfires, food trucks, ornament workshops and a live nativity scene, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Some highlights of the event include the tree lighting ceremony on the town green which begins at 4pm and includes the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a torchlight parade that begins at 5:15 on Main St.

In addition, Shop Ellington takes place through Saturday, December 11th. Obtain stickers to complete a "bingo line" at four of the participating businesses and enter to win a raffle to win gift cards.
