Ellington Woman Arrested for Heroin Possession

A 33-year-old Ellington woman has been charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia after an investigation and K9 track.

Troopers were conducting patrol checks in the area of Route 83 and Middle Butcher Road due to recent car break-ins. While conducting these checks, troopers located a suspicious male walking in the area. A female was located a short time later, walking in the area as well.

The resulting investigation and K9 track led to the arrest of Jaime Caruthers, of 88 West Rd.

Caruthers was released on a $10,000 surety bond and given court date of July 1.
