Ellington's New Mill Rate Puts Proposed Property Taxes In Focus
Town officials say the hearing will focus on the proposed operating budget and its tax impact.
ELLINGTON, CT — Ellington residents will have an opportunity tonight to weigh in on the town’s proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget as the Board of Finance holds a public hearing at Town Hall.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in the Nicholas J. DiCorleto Jr. Meeting Hall at Ellington Town Hall, 55 Main St. The session will include a public comment period followed by a review of the proposed budget for the Board of Selectmen and various boards and commissions.
Town officials said the proposed budget would carry a mill rate of 26.4. Residents can estimate the impact on their annual property taxes by multiplying their newly assessed property value by 0.0264.
