Ellington-Somers Police Blotter: May 3-May 9
The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police, are accurate as of May 10, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

May 4
A 64-year-old Stafford Springs man was traveling east on East Porter Road in Ellington and went off the right side of the roadway and made contact with a telephone pole. He reported that he was not injured as a result of the accident. The man was issued an infraction for making an improper turn.
Sate police responded to the area of Stafford Road (Route 30) at the intersection of Pine Street in Ellington for a report of a small child in the roadway. Upon arrival, it was determined that the 2-year-old male had walked away from his home while unattended. This incident is currently under investigation.
May 6
William Chan, Jr., 35, of 70 Jeremy Woods Dr. in Southington, was transported from Osborn Correctional Institution to Rockville Superior Court so that an active arrest warrant could be served. He was placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant issued by the court for the charge of fugitive from justice. Chan was processed and held on a $25,000 bond. He was then turned back over to the state marshals to be presented to the court.
May 9
Todd Andre Salois, 39, of 60 Pinney St., Apt. 107 in Ellington, was taken into custody after an investigation for an incident that occurred at his address. He was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call. Salois was assigned a $500 non-surety bond by the duty supervisor and released with a court date of May 10 at Rockville Superior Court.
A 19-year-old Ellington woman was traveling northbound on Hoffman Road when she weaved right to avoid an ATV traveling southbound. The woman contacted two mailboxes on the right shoulder. No injuries were reported and minor damage was done to the vehicle.
