Enfield Is Pushing for Casino
With expansion of Indian gambling meccas, local towns are making the play for local casinos.
Several towns north of Hartford continued their push on Wednesday to establish a new casino north of Hartford.
Representatives from Enfield, East Windsor and East Hartford, were reportedly among those attending a meeting Wednesday with leaders from the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes to get more information about a potential casino, according to WTIC.
Bill Lee, the deputy mayor of Enfield, told the station, “The property owners in Enfield are attempting to assemble a proposal that they believe is the winning one.”
