2011 Summer Concert Series

The Somers Cultural Commission is pleased to announce the performers for this summer's Thursday Nights Under the Stars series of concerts, to take place at the Gazebo on the Common. In case of rain, concerts will be moved to Town Hall.

  • June 30 - The South Windsor Community Band
  • July 7 - Bringing his own twist on classic Las Vegas sound, Jimmy Mazz was in town. The crooner sound is what Jimmy does best. If you remember fondly the old Las Vegas standards or if you wish you could remember it, this is the show for you.

  • July 14 - The Hot Cat Jazz Band is the hottest band on the East Coast, specializing in swing, big band jazz, and classic rock dance music. Everyone in attendance enjoyed this wonderful band.

  • July 21 - The Pioneer Valley Fiddlers is a fiddler's club dedicated to the preservation and performance of traditional fiddle music. formed by Christine Keenan in 1992, they perform mainly in the northeast fiddle style including Irish, Scottish, Canadian and traditional music.

  • July 28 - A perennial favorite, the Windham Concert Band featured a program of traditional band music including marches, overtures, musical theater and other standard repertoire. This program is sure to be a favorite with the entire family.

  • August 4 - The Spectacles featuring the Sin Sisters
