The Amish have fascinated mainstream America for decades. Saloma Furlong was born and raised in an Amish community in Ohio. Driven by her desire for freedom and more formal education, she broke away from her community- not once, but twice. On Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30 pm Saloma will be at Hall Memorial Library in Ellington to discuss her acclaimed autobiography 'Why I Left the Amish: A Memoir'. Saloma has been drawing standing-room only crowds, so reserve your seat now!
This program is free, but pre-registration is required. Please register online at www.biblio.org/ellington or call the library at 860-870-3160 to reserve a spot.
