Fair Trade Fair

Beautiful handcrafts, chocolate and coffee from around the world will be featured at the Fair Trade Fair sponsored by First Lutheran Church, 154 Orchard St., Ellington, on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10:00 to 2:00. Featured items range from one-of-a-kind jewelry and clothing to kitchen wares and special garden gifts. Whether you shop for Christmas gifts or for yourself, you can be sure that the artisans who made the gifts are paid fairly and treated with respect.

All are welcome to come and shop. Cash and checks are accepted.

First Lutheran hosts this fair to support artisan groups in countries such as Haiti, Uganda, and Nepal, who give back to their own communities through literacy training, access to basic health care and low-interest loans. These groups also invest in community projects such as safe water wells and elementary schools.
