The Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast, comes alive on the stage at Ellington High School on March 9-11, 2012. This smash Broadway musical, based on the 1991 Academy Award winning animated film, casts its spell on audiences on March 9, 10, 2012 at 7:30 pm, March 10th at 1:00 pm and March 11th at 3:00 pm.
The stage version of Beauty and the Beast tells the story of the winsome Belle and her ferocious captor. The 1991 Disney movie became the first animated film nominated for Best Picture. In New York, the Broadway production played to over 5,000 sold-out houses and went on to become the sixth longest running Broadway musical of all time. Filled with lovable characters, beautiful tunes and enchanting sets and costumes, this “tale as old as time” is not to be missed.
The show is directed by William Prenetta. Richard Diamond is the musical director, and Sierra Unsworth and Nikki Angelica provide the choreography.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students.
