Final Outdoor Ellington Farmers' Market Takes Place Saturday

The outdoor season of the Ellington Farmers' Market concludes on Saturday, October 28th. The market runs from 9 a.m. to noon in Arbor Park, Main St. with the ever-popular Halloween Pet Parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bring your pets in their Halloween finery and join the fun. The contestants will compete for prizes for the top three entries. Winners will be chosen by audience participation.

Saturday is also the final day for seniors and WIC recipients of Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers to double their purchasing power at the market. Simply bring your cards or present your app at the market booth and receive matching coupons to shop at the Ellington Market.

Over 40 vendors will be on-site on October 28th, the weather looks to be sunny and seasonally warm. Produce is still in abundance along with meats, seafood, dairy, baked goods, specialty foods, bath and body products, and artisan wares.

Americana and folk singer Sheryl Stanton will be providing the musical entertainment for the morning.
