SOMERS, CT — A fire broke out in the northern part of Somers on Thursday afternoon. Initial calls came in at about 3 p.m. to 147 Hampden Road, a police source said. Witnesses said the home was nearly engulfed in flames. About 5 departments responxded, according to a police source.
