Flannel Shirt Drive for Veterans
Somers Congregational United Church of Christ is collecting new flannel shirts to distribute to Veterans at Stand Down Day in September. Stand Down Day is an annual event offering assistance to Veterans in Connecticut. The church is looking to collect 500 flannel shirts prior to the event, so each Veteran attending Stand Down Day can receive a shirt. Preferred adult sizes are M, L, XL and XXL. Donated flannel shirts can be dropped off to the church office located at 599 Main Street in Somers, CT.
