Free Activities For Kids At Ellington Earth Day Celebration

Kids can enjoy a variety of free activities at the Nellie McKnight Museum Earth Day celebration

The Ellington Historical Society is hosting free activities for children on Saturday, April 23rd from 10am to 2pm during the town Earth Day Celebration. Kids can make a biodegradable bug hotel, sun catchers from recycled materials, paint rocks to distribute for others to find, and participate in a scavenger hunt to win prizes. The house museum and farm exhibit will be open for touring.

Parents can browse the new photo exhibit "A Historic Survey of Early Ellington" while the kids are busy creating their masterpieces.

The Mercantile and Vintage Wares Barn will be open for shopping and Backroads Smokin BBQ will be onsite.
