Grampa's Garden Stand Opens At Ellington Human Services

The give-or-take model helps to share excess garden produce with the community. Bring what you can, take what you need.

Ellington Human Services’ seasonal garden stand, Grandpa's Garden Stand, will be open July through September and is accepting donations of fruits and vegetables of any kind from local gardeners and farmers. If your garden is producing more than you need just drop off the excess at Grandpa's Garden Stand.

The produce is then available for community residents to take as needed. The program is open to all and operates on a give what you can and take what you need basis. Produce may be dropped off or picked up at any time. Please be sure donations are fresh and in good condition.

Ellington Human Services also operates Grandma's Pantry which contains non-perishable goods and also operates through donations with the same give what you can, take what you need model. The pantry is accessible at any time 7 days a week.
