Somers EDC Names Business Of The Month
The Somers EDC spotlight highlights the studio's role in supporting local health and business.
SOMERS, CT — A local yoga studio is being recognized for building more than just strength and flexibility.
The Somers Economic Development Commission has named Haven Yoga its latest Featured Business. The studio is located at 612 Main St. in the M&T Plaza.

Owner Alanna Orlandi, who lives in Somers, opened Haven Yoga in March 2023 after fully remodeling the space. She said her goal was simple: create a place where people feel welcome and supported.

“I believe that yoga is not just exercise for the body, but for the mind as well,” Orlandi said. “Our studio is a warm and welcoming place for the people of Somers to put themselves in the spotlight. It is so important to give ourselves care as much as we care for others.”
Haven Yoga offers classes for beginners and experienced students. Men and women of all ages are welcome, including kids 12 and older and expectant mothers. Classes range from slower, gentle sessions to heated power yoga.

The studio also hosts special events and programs. Over the past year, those included paddle-board yoga, a hike at Soapstone Mountain, and outdoor community classes. Orlandi recently led a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, and six students graduated in December and now teach at the studio. Another training program is planned for summer 2026, along with a new chair yoga class.
To kick off 2026, Haven Yoga offered a “New Year, New Intentions” series and a 40-day wellness challenge focused on building healthy habits.
“The start of a new year can often feel overwhelming with pressure to change,” Orlandi said. “At Haven, we want to provide a space where you can simply arrive as you are and build the confidence to carry you through the rest of the year.”
The studio offers introductory deals for new students, including a buy-one-get-one class, a six-class intro month, and a monthly unlimited option. Mats and other equipment are available at the studio, so newcomers can simply show up and get started.
The EDC said the spotlight is part of its effort to support local businesses and strengthen the town’s economy.
