How Easy Is It To Get Around Ellington? State Wants To Hear From You
State transportation officials are holding a public focus group in Ellington to discuss local mobility strengths and gaps.
ELLINGTON, CT — Residents will have an opportunity to weigh in on transportation access in their community during a state-coordinated focus group scheduled for early February at the Ellington Senior Center.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is hosting the session as part of the Locally Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan, a statewide effort aimed at improving access to transportation for seniors, people with disabilities, and residents who rely on public or shared transit options.
The focus group, titled “The Mobility Access Workgroup: Transportation Strengths and Opportunities Within Your Area,” will gather feedback on what is working locally and where gaps remain.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Ellington Senior Center, 40 Maple St., Ellington.
Organizers say public input will help guide future planning decisions and improvements to transportation services in the region.
