Somers recognizes community service!
The Business of the Month Award for April has been presented to Joanna's Restaurant. The award presentation was made by First Selectman Timothy Keeney to restaurant owner Jeff Lipton and his staff. Joanna's was nominated for its fundraising efforts on behalf of the victims of the Somersville fire, for its donations in support of community efforts, and its support of the Somers Education Foundation's annual drive.
Patrons from any community are encouraged to nominate a Somers business for the award based on such criteria as exemplary customer service, innovative product or services, professional staff development, or longevity in business.
