ELLINGTON, CT — A segment of Main Street in Ellington remained closed Saturday afternoon, more than three hours after a car vs. motorcycle collision that necessitated the use of the LifeStar helicopter.Police said the motorcyclist was seriously injured in the crash, which took place around 11:02 a.m. on Main Street near Maple Street. The cyclist was airlifted by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital, police said.No further information was immediately available.Photo credit: Tim Jensen
