Loud Pipe Leads Police to Stash of Smoke in Vehicle

An Ellington Man is facing a trio of drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Vernon on Friday, police said. 

An officer was first alerted to a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Albert Oullette of 3 Cedar St., Ellington, by a loud muffler, according to a police report. 

A search of the vehicle uncovered about 45 grams of marijuana, a collection of plastic bags and scales, a splice spokesman said. 

Oullette was charged with the used drug paraphernalia, the sale of a controlled substance and marijuana possession, according to an arrest log entry.
