Make It 2 Straight State Titles For Ellington-Tolland Gymnasts

ELLINGTON/TOLLAND, CT — The Ellington/Tolland high school co-op gymnastics team won the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class M title Saturday.

It's now back-to-back state championships for the team.

Ellington/Tolland amassed 137.000 points to outlast Waterford, which had a point total of 136.225. Newtown was third as 131.075.

Here are the individual scorers:

Kaitlyn Rose Delaney, of Ellington High School, scored a 9.275 in the vault, a 8.725 on the uneven bars, a 9.200 on the balance beam and 8.650 in the floor exercise.

Charlotte Pacheco, of Tolland High School, scored 9.200 in the vault, 8.650 on the bars, 9.650 on the beam and 9.075 on the floor.

Katelyn Callahan, of EHS, scored 8.325 in the vault.

Cassidy O'Brien, of THS, scored 8.175 in the vault, 7.200 on the bars, 8.200 on the beam and 8.350 on the floor.

Ava Culhane, of THS, scored 8.825 on the bars, 7.550 on the beam and 7.950 on the floor.
