Man Charged After Vacuum-Smashing Incident

State police said a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

SOMERS, CT - A local man is accused of violating a protective order after an incident on Main Street in March, state police said.

Peter Eckel, 33, of 64 Main St., Somers, was arrested on a warrant on Thursday, state police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct as well, state police said.

Eckel allegedy had altercations with a girlfriend that included an argument near a liquor store, smashing vacuums inside an apartment and screeching the tires of his car, according to an arrest warrant.
