Man Charged for Ellington and Somers Burglaries
A man was arrested for a series of thefts and attempted break-ins, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A local man has been charged with larceny and burglary in connection with a series of incidents in Somers and Ellington in December, state police said.
Rogelio Vazquez, 42, who lives on Main Street in Somers, was arrested on Thursday. Both charges were in the second degree, state police said.
The thefts involved four homes on Pinney Road, one on Abbott Road in Somers and one on Snipsic Lake Road in Ellington, according to an arrest warrant.

He is accused of taking a variety of items from the homes, but also botching up some jobs too.
Residents said he was easily identifiable because he seemed "drunk or high" and had an unkempt appearance, according to a warrant.

On several occasions, Vazquez was caught either trying to get into doors or on people's property and would argue with residents when they asked him what he was doing, according to a warrant.
He was held on a $100,000 bond, state police said.
