Man with Ellington Ties Charged for 'Conduct' with Young Girls
A man who spends time in both Vernon and Ellington was arrested on two warrants for sexual misconduct, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man who spends time in both Vernon and Ellington was arrested on two warrants covering six charges related to sexual assault and illegal contact with young girls, police said.
Andrew Curtis, 55, was picked up in Ellington at 4:45 p.m. Monday, police said. He was held on bonds totaling $100,000 and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Tuesday, police said. He has been charged with three counts each of fourth-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact with someone younger than 16.
Detectives said in a report that the charges stem from two separate investigations into the conduct of Curtis "with underage females over the past several years."

The incidents referenced in an arrest report allegedly took place in April in Vernon.
Curtis has spent time at homes on South Street in Vernon and on Kibbe Road in Ellington, according to police.

Vernon police on Tuesday were asking members of the public who may have information on Curtis to call them at 860-872-9126.
