Man Waved Doctored BB Gun At 2 Locations In Ellington: Report
A Bolton teen was arrested on a gun charge after allegedly waving a doctored BB gun at 2 locations in Ellington, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A Bolton teen was arrested on a gun charge after waving a doctored BB gun at both an intersection and restaurant in Ellington, state police said.
The incident took place at 7:18 p.m. on Thursday, according to a report. State police were told that a man, later identified as 19-year-old Nathael Cortes, was reportedly waving a gun in two locations — in the road on Route 83 after exiting his vehicle at the Big Y plaza intersection and at Casey's Cafe, also on Route 83, according to a report.
He tried to get into the restaurant but was prevented, state police said. He fled the area on foot and was located a short time later, according to a report.

He had taken the orange tip off a BB gun and had it in his possession when found, according to a report.
Cortes was charged with possessing a weapon in a motor vehicle and breach of peace, and is due in court on Jan. 23, state police said.
