Missing Couple From Ellington Found Safe

State police confirmed Thursday the elderly couple has been located and is safe.

ELLINGTON, CT — An Ellington couple reported missing Tuesday night has been located and is safe, according to state police.

Barbara Lynds, 76, and her husband Irwin, 80, had been the subject of Silver Alerts issued by state police after not having been seen since Monday.

A state police spokesman responding to an inquiry from Patch Thursday afternoon said, "They have [been] located, no injuries and transported to the hospital for precautionary measures."
