Mother Says Bombing Suspect Called Her Before Being Killed

Tamerlan Tsarnaev called his mother during a shootout with police shortly before his death early Friday morning, the mother told ABC News.
ABC reports that the bombing suspect called his mother and said, "The police, they have started shooting at us." He said, “Mama, I love you” before hanging up, according to ABC News.
During the firefight on Watertown streets Friday morning, the suspects shot at police and threw five homemade bombs at police. One of the bombs included a pressure cooker bomb, which was similar to the bombs that exploded at the marathon, reported ABC News.
The suspects also shot and killed MIT Police Officer Sean Collier.
